"CRAZY ANTONIS" by Penelope Delta

We live in an era where childhood seems to have vanished. Parents are desperately absent, consumed by exhausting work schedules. Children are not allowed the freedom to spend time playing in the streets. They are constantly confined to a room, accompanied by a screen - image after image flashing before them. Meaningless. Aimless.
 
The Nicosia International Festival, together with director Panayiotis Larkou (“Odyssey”, THOC 2024/25), collaborates with composer George Hadjipieris in an effort to show young audiences the childhood they deserve to experience.
 
That is why they have chosen “Crazy Antonis” by Penelope Delta, presenting a performance about children who play, make mistakes and learn, misbehave, act out, say they’re sorry, hurt others and get hurt, give their love unconditionally, and need love to blossom. Children who are fair, vibrant, real.
