Singer-songwriter Demetris Mesimeris in a confrontation with… time, he presents his new album, titled “TIK TAK”, at the Nicosia International Festival 2025 on Tuesday, 25 November, at the Nicosia Municipal Theatre (20:30). This is a concert–presentation which touches upon human experiences through the passage of time and life’s defining moments.

The record “TIK TAK” is a concept collection of songs that illuminate the key stages of human life: birth, coming of age, love, dreams, social awareness, and loss. While each song unfolds, it functions as a mirror of emotions and memories, allowing listeners the chance to reflect on their own past, to contemplate, and to realise that life is both precious and fragile.

The album features compositions by Demetris Mesimeris himself, as well as songs in the music and lyrics of important collaborators including Vasilis Charisis, Andreas Paraschos, Christos Michalaros, Michalis Pasiardis, Giorgos Dimitriou, and Giorgos Kalogirou. “TIK TAK” is not merely an album, it is an existential journey, an atmospheric proposal with a modern sound and poetic lyrics. The ticking of a clock, this subtle tick tack of time runs through the album as an underlying reminder of life’s constant motion. “TIK TAK” is an invitation to tune into our inner rhythm. To pause. To feel. It touches on the angst of time, the uncertainty, and the pursuit of authenticity. It is a call for a meaningful life, without exaggeration or superficiality. It is a performance for all ages, communicating honestly and deeply.

Simultaneously, the concert features compositions by Demetris from his new work, but also cover versions from his personal albums, as well as short narrative texts by Giorgos Papakonstantinou, weaving together music and spoken word to create a space for thought, emotion, and reflection.
