ANTAMA FESTIVAL

For the second consecutive year, the Nicosia International Festival, in the framework of its Parallel Programme, is hosting the Antama Festival. Following last year’s success, the Antama Festival refreshed and… bigger, opens its doors at the Nicosia Municipal Garden. This time, it returns for two days at the Nicosia Municipal Garden, on Saturday 27/9 (15:00–00:00) and Sunday 28/9 (12:00–21:30), presenting a rich programme of live traditional music.

The Antama Festival started from a group of young people and is a celebration dedicated to tradition, collectivity, music and the arts, promoting Cyprus’ cultural heritage. It hosts music ensembles and artists who draw inspiration from Cypriot and Mediterranean tradition, presenting a diverse programme, full of rhythm. The festival will showcase traditional crafts and artisanship, as well as hands-on workshops which are open for the public to participate in freely. There will also be free traditional dance workshops.
