The Nicosia International Festival is back in full swing for its 6th edition this September, and alongside its performances, it continues the popular “Art in the City” series of tributes to Cypriot artists, produced by the Press and Information Office.
 
At the Nicosia Municipal Theatre, the series’ screenings will transport audiences into the world of Cypriot artists, highlighting the connection between art, society, and the island’s history. Painters, sculptors, and creators from various fields share their inspirations, artistic journeys, and works, emphasizing Cyprus’s cultural heritage through a fresh, contemporary lens.
 
Screening schedule for September – October 2025:
 
  • 01 – 14/09/2025: Efthymios Symeou, potter. Directed by Paris Erotokritou
 
  • 15 – 29/09/2025: Panayiotis Pasantas, sculptor. Directed by Yianna Amerikanou
 
  • 30/09 – 12/10/2025: Filippos Yiapanis, sculptor. Directed by Danae Stylianou
 
  • 13/10 – 31/10/2025: Loizos Sergiou, ζωγράφος. Directed by George Spyris
 
Screenings take place in the foyer of the Nicosia Municipal Theatre, starting one hour before each performance.
