The Nicosia Municipal Theatre, the theatre that gave birth to THOC’s Children’s Stage and legendary productions for children with which we grew up (“The Little Barrel of Honey”, “Mormolis”, “The Smiling Moustache” and more recently “STILL! A Statue that Traveled the World”), brings to life Penelope Delta’s famous novel “Crazy Antonis”. Rehearsals for the production, part of the Nicosia International Festival, have started on the stage of the Nicosia Municipal Theatre.
 
Director Panayiotis Larkou (“Odyssey” – THOC 2024/25, “Makrykostaioi and Kondogiorgides” – THOC 2022) and composer Georgos Hadjipieris (“The Lazy Dragon”) are preparing a play that… “redeems mischief.” They bring to the stage the unruly Antonis and his siblings, reminding us that imagination must travel freely, and not be confined within the 25 seconds of a video on a mobile screen.

The premiere will take place on November 9, 2025, at the Nicosia Municipal Theatre, as part of the Nicosia International Festival 2025.
