On December 30, 2025, the exhibition cycle of the program “Face Forward …into my home” concludes on the 1st floor of the Nicosia Municipal Theatre.

The exhibition features photographic portraits by Yiannis Kourtoglou and the stories of refugees and migrants from Africa, Asia, and the Middle East who were forced to leave their homelands and are now rebuilding their lives in Cyprus. It is part of a migrant integration programme organised by Nicosia 2030 in collaboration with EMΣT | National Museum of Contemporary Art Athens, with the generous support of the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) in Cyprus.

The programme was initially designed and implemented by EMΣT in 2017, in collaboration with the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) in Greece. Since then, it has travelled to several cities in Greece and abroad. The concept, implementation, and curatorial direction of the exhibition and programme belong to Marina Tsekou, Education Curator at EMΣT, and Yiannis Vastardis, Photographer and Special Therapist.

In Cyprus, the program was curated by Giorgos Papageorgiou and Nikolina Stylianou and was supported by the European Funds Unit of the Ministry of Interior, the Asylum Service of the Deputy Ministry of Migration and International Protection, the Greek Embassy in Cyprus, the Representation of the European Commission in Cyprus, UNHCR Country Office in Cyprus, and the Social Welfare Services of the Deputy Ministry of Social Welfare.

The exhibition will remain open until 30 December 2025, Monday - Friday between 10:00 - 13:00, as well as one hour before every performance taking place at the Nicosia Municipal Theatre.
