The philosophy of the Nicosia International Festival is aligned with the long-term cultural strategy of the Nicosia Municipality and includes the following objectives:

To support and showcase emerging professional creators, highlight the talents of Cypriots of all ages, and keep our cultural heritage alive.

To offer a wide range of cultural and artistic expressions with the goal of connecting citizens with internationally renowned artists and cultural organizations.

To propose cultural activities aimed at promoting acceptance and inclusion, regardless of nationality, age, gender, colour, religion, sexual orientation, etc.

To honor freedom in all its forms: individual and national freedom, freedom of thought, and freedom of expression.
