SUZY’S CHRISTMAS JOURNEY: A WORLD OF CAROLS by the Cyprus Symphonic Orchestra

Christmas arrives at the Nicosia International Festival 2025 alongside the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra and a special adventure for children titled “Suzy’s Christmas Journey: a world of carols”. Two performances will take place on Wednesday, 10 December 2025, at the Nicosia Municipal Theatre (16:00 & 17:30).

The story
In the heart of Athalassa Park lives Suzy the Fox. Suzy is no ordinary fox. She loves collecting the sounds of nature, the birds’ chirping, the rustling of leaves, the sound of the rain. And above all, she adores music and Christmas songs. One day, she wonders: “How is Christmas sung in Spain? In Argentina? In China?” Thus begins a journey where she will discover customs, songs, and colours from Christmas celebrations around the world, accompanied by the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra, the Choir of the SymphoPedia programme, and conductor Kyriaki Kountouri, whilst her adventures will be narrated by Mara Constantinou. The music and narration will be accompanied by projections of images and animations. 

This is a festive concert for the whole family, full of rhythm, love, and magic, a musical adventure designed to warm the heart. Because, beyond its value in the purely artistic sphere, the contribution of the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra Foundation also extends to matters that impact society. As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility, the Foundation supports the Baby Miracles Association and its mission to make the world of every premature newborn better. For this purpose, a portion of the proceeds from the concerts will be donated to the Association.
