For the second consecutive year, the Nicosia International Festival hosts the Antama Festival as part of its Parallel Program. After last year’s success, Antama Festival returns renewed and… bigger, opening its gates at the Nicosia Municipal Garden. This time, it comes back for two days: on Saturday, September 27 (15:00 - 00:00) and Sunday, September 28 (12:00 – 21:30), featuring a rich program of live traditional music concerts with Windcraft Band, Kanvinitisses, Nomads, Larnaca Music School "Mikis Theodorakis", Project Pithkiaulin, Michalis Terlikkas with his band “Mousa”, Michalis & Petros Kouloumis featuring Fr. Tombazou, Chr. Isidorou, and D. Picha.
The Antama Festival was initiated by a group of young people and is a celebration dedicated to tradition, collectivity, music, and the arts, promoting Cyprus’ cultural heritage. It hosts music ensembles and artists inspired by Cypriot and Mediterranean traditions, presenting a diverse program. The venue will also showcase traditional crafts and trades, along with interactive workshops open for everyone to join. In addition, free traditional dance workshops will take place.
